This is , bar none , the best way to hold your racking cane. I have been told to just use a clothes pin?????? With that you get movement inside your carboy and take a chance of swishing up sediment. I actually put a curve in my racking canes and with this holder it puts the suction end down at a corner of the carboy and holds it there. I put a one inch board under the opposite edge of the carboy which tilts it slightly and I can maximize my wine recovery. I usually put a piece of scotch tape across the top of the holder to secure it since it is nylon and tapered it does have a tendency to slip upwards slightly but a simple fix will hold it securely.CheersThis is better than leaving your racking cane twisting around your carboys. It permits you to place the foot of the cane just above the lees, and it stays there, hands free! Tapered to fit any size carboy, and long enough to keep the cane stable. This is a great product.
