The carboy itself is great, I mean I expected a glass jug, and I got a glass jug. Well done glass jug factory workers! The shipping and price gouging on all this beer equipment on amazon is just insane though. So yes, I get that a glass jug is not going to be dirt cheap to ship. But there isn't a single vendor on Amazon that has core equipment available through amazon prime, and it just plain sucks to have to pay nearly the cost of the item in shipping. It just kills me to know that if this wasn't being used to brew beer, it would prob cost half and be available with free shipping like most other things on amazon.I would check out craigslist if you have time to wait, you are almost certainly going to pay less than this. If not, this was the best deal I could find on amazon.
